Today was your big day.  Finally after Alfred F. Jones, your boyfriend of two years finally purposed to you, it was your big day.  Butterflies were in your stomach as you got ready in your white gown.  Your (h/c) was done up in an elegant wrap around braid on either side leading into a bun.  Your (e/c) shown with excitement and nervousness.

The two of you had gotten together officially at a country conference two years ago almost to the day.  He was your hero and you loved him for it just as he loved you.  Little did you know though it was just the honeymoon phase of your relationship with the outgoing American.  When he asked you to marry him a year ago, you were ecstatic.  Though when he kept asking to postpone the wedding day, you were sure that it was just him wanting to make sure everything was planned and such.

Six months back though, when he started to stay late at work and give you more of the cold shoulder… you refused to think he was going behind your back with someone.  Your best friend, (bf/n), had even reassured you that he was probably just wanting to focus on making a good start for the two of you after the wedding.  That alone brought your hopes up again and fall further for Alfred.

Looking at yourself in the mirror, you were glad to be here today with him.  After he had helped you from being bullied growing up, he really was your hero.  More so when your parents died in a tragic car fire.  After all of that, depression had hit you hard, but with Alfred’s help you got better, managed to pull through the days with a smile on your face and not the need to hide in your room at all times like you had wanted to do so many times before.

“(Y/n), you ready?”  Your soon to be brother in law, and best guy friend ever, Arthur Kirkland asked as he popped his head into the room.  You were getting ready at his house since he didn’t want Alfred seeing you the day of your wedding before walking down the aisle.

“Yeah, I just need to pick something up at the house before going to the chapel.  I forgot my shoes.”  You said with a small innocent giggle.  “Besides, Alfred should be heading over to the chapel anyways by now so don’t worry he won’t see me.”  You added with a slight smirk to the Brit.

“Okay okay, just hurry up!  Don’t need you late on your wedding day, love.”  Arthur spoke kissing your forehead before heading out.  You smiled grabbing your keys and purse before heading out to your own car.

Pulling up in front of yours and Alfred’s shared house, you noticed his car still there.  ‘Huh… should have guessed the goof.’  You thought to yourself, not thinking anything of it for it was not unusual for him to be a bit behind.

Walking up to the front porch, reaching for the door you found it locked oddly.  Raising an eyebrow, you put your key in, unlocking and opening it.  It was dark and rather chilled inside which was  big difference than it’s normal light and fun, warm atmosphere.  Walking quietly through, you wondered where he was.  That’s when you could hear noises coming from the direction of your shared bedroom.

As you started towards the door you could make out the sound of a male’s moan, as well as a higher pitched feminine moan.  Your heart began racing and palms grew clammy as you neared the door.  Since you were barefoot the hard wood floors, your steps remained silent.  Once at the door, you slowly reached for the nob.

Opening the door a crack, you peered in, only to finally fear the flood of tears that had been welling up in your eyes start to fall.  There, on your bed was your husband to be with your best friend, (bf/n), making love.  You were so shocked by the scene you hadn’t realized the door creaked open all the way.  You were trembling feeling the tears unable to keep up with your heart break.  “A-al…”  You mumbled causing their heads to snap up and look to you.

“(Y-y/n), babe it’s not what it looks like!”  Alfred tried to explain as he got up and off of your now former friend who made no attempt to cover herself.

You just shook your head, sobs wracking your body as you turned on your heels and ran out.  You didn’t even stop as he yelled after you to stop.  All you could do was see that image in your mind.  Your now loving ex making love to your best friend.  You couldn’t believe that it was true, but they had been… and you realized now it had been happening for a while now.  How you could have missed that, was beyond you.  You didn’t know what to do, so you ran out of the house, into the cloudy outside that was threatening to cover the earth in water.

Running, the tears fell in thick streams down your cheeks.  The pain of what he was doing, what he did to you causing the most horrible of aches in your heart.  All you could do was run, get away from him and his new lover.  It all made sense now.  Since Alfred had started seeming so distant, he was with her.  You remember even a time calling work one time he said he was working late, see if he wanted you to bring dinner to him… only he wasn’t there and it was hours before he got home.  You were a fool now you realized for thinking it was something other than the truth.

Making it to the park across town, you slowed down.  The world was drenched in rain that kept coming, much like your tears.  The pain that he didn’t love you anymore, if he ever really did causing the depression to spike up in your mind.  The want to just sit back and let the world pass you by.

‘He never loved me… what did I do wrong?’  You thought to yourself as you made your way sluggishly towards some trees at the far side of the park.  Your clothes clung to your body as the rains drenched them, chilling you down to the bone, the fact you still wore no shoes didn’t help matters.  All hope was lost, the fear that no one really loved or would ever love you was filling your mind with every passing second.

Walking, sobs racked through your body as you slumped against a tree.  Sliding down onto the ground, legs bent to the side of you, the tears just kept coming.  Looking down at your stiffening hands, you could feel your eyelids growing heavy.  Soon, your eyes closed, breaths almost undetectable as you sat there on the muddy ground and pouring rain, photo of you and your beloved American boyfriend happy together in your hand.

-----TIME SKIP a few hours------

--3rd person pov--

Alfred jiggled his leg anxiously as he sat in the passenger side of his brother’s car.  After (y/n) had caught him and (bf/n) together, he knew he hurt her.  He was sure she would forgive him though… she had to of, he did love her, but sadly… he seemed to love (bf/n) as well.  He knew Arthur would give him hell for this once they found (y/n) for they had gone with the others to look for her.

“There!  She loved that park!”  Alfred yelled and pointed out to a park with a few trees just to the left of the road.  Arthur nodded gently and pulled the car over, getting out without a second thought.  A couple others, Francis Bonnefoy and Matthew Williams who were a couple more of (y/n)’s friends hopped out of the back, all four going to scour the park for any signs of her.

It took only five minutes before Arthur spotted a bit of white from by a tree at the far side of the park.  Running over, he burst into tears at the sight in front of him.  There, leaning dead still against the tree in a damp and muddied wedding dress was none other than (y/n).  “Guys!”  He yelled and the other three came running as he knelt down.

As soon as the Frenchman and Canadian reached the sight, gasps came from their mouths.  Though when Alfred saw her there, blue tinting her once pink lips and deathly grey coating her fair skin, he collapsed to his knees.  “What have I done…”  He mumbled in a tear stained voice.

Arthur glared daggers towards him.  Opting to say nothing though, he checked her pulse only to hang his head, speaking with a slightly cracked voice.  “She’s gone.. we’re too late..”

We stayed outside, in the rain overnight. Depending on how cold it got, We probably died of hypothermia.
